B-movie stars Lynn Lowry, Debbie Rochon and Brooke Lewis Bellas have joined the cast of writer-director-producer Gregory Lamberson’s upcoming indie action epic Guns of Eden, currently crowdfunding on Indiegogo. The trio joins Alexandra Faye Sadeghian, who stars as Megan Forest, a Buffalo, New York cop suffering from PTSD who is hunted through the woods by different factions of an armed militia. The film shoots in the Buffalo-Niagara region this summer. Lamberson describes it as “Deliverance meets First Blood, with a dash of The Warriors.”

Lynn Lowery

Lowry is a screen legend for her work in George A. Romero’s The Crazies, David Cronenberg’s Shivers, and Paul Schrader’s Cat People. Rochon is an independent film icon, and previously collaborated with Lamberson on Slime City Massacre, Dry Bones and Killer Rack, all filmed in Buffalo. Bellas, who co-starred in Slime City Massacre, Killer Rack, and iMurders, is also a co-producer on the film. The large cast includes many Buffalo-Niagara actors in key supporting roles, including Bill Kennedy, Trazz Johnson, Nicole Alshahen, Dominic Luongo, Kim Piazza, and John Renna.

Guns of Eden achieved 100% of its target goal on the crowdfunding platform Indiegogo, a rarity, and continues to fundraise through the end of this month. Erin Elizabeth Heald is the executive producer, with Tamar Lamberson, Chris Cosgrave, and Keith Lukowski producing. Armand John Petri, Kim Piazza, Faith Nichols Peterson, Brooke Lewis Bellas, and Brian C. Schilling are co-producers. Petri will compose and perform the film’s score with Joe Rozler.
