Jamie Scalise- Daughter of Infamous Prison Escapee Richard Matt and Author of the Book “He’s Out!” to be Featured on CNN – HLN TV Documentary “How It Really Happened”
March 16, 2021…Buffalo, NY… Season six of HLN’s longest running original series “How It Really Happened” with Will Harper a two – hour documentary will air on Sunday, March 21, 2021 from 9pm to 11pm.
The documentary will tell the story of infamous prison escapee, Richard Matt, a former Tonawanda, NY resident and will feature his daughter Jamie Scalise of North Tonawanda, NY.
In June of 2015, the greatest and most publicized prison break in the history of America took place when Richard Matt, a double murderer and David Sweat, a cop killer escaped from Clinton Correctional Facility in mountainous upstate New York.
For Jamie Scalise, like most Americans, she was glued to her TV set but for a different reason. Richard Matt was her father! She experienced the most intense and emotionally draining three weeks of her life.

The limited TV mini-series, “Diary of a Lunatic: Sylke’s Tales” will premiere on Amazon Prime on March 5, 2021. The series is a follow up to the successful feature film, “Diary of a Lunatic…Trew’s Calling”, that was filmed in WNY and premiered in 2017.
This original series reunites the feature film original cast Tracey B. Wilson (“Guiding Light”, “All My Children”), Kevin Sizemore (“Fear of the Walking Dead”, “Resurrection”, “Under the Dome”), and introduces newcomer Melody Nardone (“Anathema”). The series co-stars Muse Watson (“NCIS”, “The Avengers”), Yancy Butler (“As The World Turns,” “Brooklyn South”, “Witchblade”), Cynthia Rothrock (“Cool Cat Kids Superhero,” “China O’Brian”). Six half-hour episodes were shot on location in Buffalo, New York.

BAD CUPID tells the story of love held hostage as an unhinged Cupid (Archie) takes a heartbroken guy and his romantic rival on a comic kidnapping. Archie is a man on a mission to ensure true love always wins. Or, short of that, someone is going to die trying. Not that he cares which. So beware anyone who gets in his way, especially anyone he’s actually trying to help. In this case, that’s the heartbroken guy (Dave), his kooky cousin and the man about to marry the girl that got away. But just because the girl is getting married doesn’t mean the groom can’t be bound, gagged and stuffed into a bathroom stall, where Dave will face a fateful decision — help in his escape or help Archie in a capital crime. Written by Neal Howard & Ira Fritz and Anthony Piatek, BAD CUPID was co-directed by Diane Cossa and Neal Howard and was produced by Larry Jay Tish. The film was shot in its entirety in Buffalo, New York in the Fall of 2019.
